1 – Digital Director

As we continue to grow, we need a motivated and adaptable individual to support our team as Digital Director.

Are you a motivated digital leader  who considers themselves a rock star when it comes to advancing causes across digital channels?? Do you have experience with email, SMS, and social media marketing and website management?

Voto Latino (VL) is seeking a Digital Director to manage the day-to-day work of our digital team to ensure the successful execution of our digital strategy.

The Director will work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of the organization’s voter registration, digital growth, fundraising, advocacy and messaging priorities. Candidates should be detail oriented, enjoy working in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, and have prior experience in digital campaigns.

The Digital Director will support the VP, Digital Strategy and Engagement in developing the strategy and managing the implementation of the organization’s digital activities including voter registration, fundraising, and communications. She or he will coordinateday-to-day email, SMS, social media and website work with ultimate team goals in mind.

  • Assist with the creation and implementation of national and local campaign strategies.
  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day for our digital programs, including email, social media, SMS,  website management and optimization and graphic design efforts
  • Run VL’s email, SMS, and website operations.
  • Manage a digital specialist to ensure that our social media promotes our mission goals; aligns with the messaging used by VL’s list at large; speaks to our main target audiences; is engaging across key social platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Identify and execute rapid response digital campaigns and days of action; use the news cycle to boost key mission and advocacy priorities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants and stakeholders to ensure successful completion of various digital efforts.
  • Set specific digital goals and track progress towards those goals.
  • Analyze metrics related to the digital strategy.
  • 4-year college degree
  • You’re a digital leader. You have 7+ years experience in this field and have run a digital program at a non-profit or electoral campaign or consulted on them at an agency.
  • You have a deep understanding of the role digital plays in the news cycle-driven. campaigns of today, and can think across channels. You’ve developed and implemented email, SMS, social, and website strategies.
  • You have demonstrated experience with online tools, specifically EveryAction, Mobile Commons, ActBlue, WordPress and Google Analytics. Experience managing mobile apps is a plus.
  • You have experience writing website, SMS and email advocacy and fundraising content.
  • You’ve run projects and led teams and can evolve processes and systems that allow you and your teams to do the best possible work.
  • You are comfortable setting and meeting tight and shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment with lots of competing projects.
  • You are a personable and collaborative team player who takes (and gives) feedback constructively.
  • You have the ability to develop, nurture and manage professional, respectful and positive working relationships and deliver excellent service and communication with both internal and external clients.
  • You have a proven track record in a role that demanded self motivation. You are entrepreneurial, with strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills, and can meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • You have a demonstrated commitment to and awareness of Latino civil rights and/or issues of social justice
  • Travel may be required
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours
