Co-Founder of Citizen Energy
Edwin Luevanos is a co-founder of Citizen Energy, a small business focused on accelerating clean energy adoption by developing and financing energy efficiency projects for commercial buildings. Prior to Citizen Energy, Edwin worked at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). While at DOE, Edwin had the unique opportunity to work under Obama administration leadership and support the deployment of over $75 billion in Recovery Act clean energy investments. Prior to DOE, Edwin worked for the Oak Ridge Institute for Science Education and in the non-profit sector on leadership development programs for Latino youth. Edwin is involved nationally in advocating for under-served communities in the areas of clear energy, technology, and social entrepreneurship. Edwin attributes his passion for his work as stemming from his childhood in Mexico and witnessing first hand economic, social and environmental hardships. Edwin graduated from California State University Fresno and obtained his Masters in Business from Boston University
