ABOUT

ABOUT

Voto Latino’s annual Our Voices reception is one of the signature events of White House Correspondents’ Weekend. Bringing together hundreds of young journalists, the event serves as an opportunity for Latinx voices to network, learn about career development, and find support at the start of their careers. By helping young media professionals connect with jobs and mentors, Voto Latino promotes and celebrates diversity in the media.

The 11th annual Our Voices reception was held at Pearl Street Warehouse in Washington, D.C. on April 25, 2019.

The event included a “Voices of Our Time” panel with The Hill’s Rafael Bernal, CNN’s Karen Finney, Estuardo Rodriguez from Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino, and Maria Cardona of Latinovations. The panelists discussed Latinx representation in the media, and the importance of telling Latinx stories.
