Job description
Voto Latino is hiring a paid intern for the Spring 2025 term to support our partnerships efforts and VL On-Campus program. The Partnerships & Advocacy Intern will support Voto Latino’s work with partners at the national, state, and local levels, and directly serve leaders in our VL On-Campus program and assist with programming.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates for this position include those with experience in organizing, student leadership, and campaigns, especially within a campus context – and those who attend college in or are from TX, AZ, NV, NC, FL, or PA. Candidates should be proficient in writing and research, with attention to detail, grammar, and revisions.
Required
Candidates must be primarily based in Washington, DC for the Spring 2025 semester and/or can be based in TX, AZ, NV, NC, FL, or PA.
Roles and responsibilities
The Partnerships & Advocacy Intern will:
- Help to conduct recruitment and onboarding of campus leaders into the VL On-Campus program
- Field requests and provide support for current VL On-Campus leaders – representing various bodies of leadership – for civic event and initiative support
- Attend and participate in 1:1 organizing meetings with VL On-Campus partners, supporting and guiding their civic leadership in partnership with Voto Latino Foundation
- Advise on the creative direction of the VL On-Campus leadership development program in 2025, as well as regionally-relevant materials for VL On-Campus partners to uplift and deploy in their unique efforts
- Attend partner briefings and meetings, helping to take notes and track policy developments
- Report directly to the Partnerships & Advocacy Associate
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Logistics
The Partnerships & Advocacy Intern will work up to 29 hours per week (flexible), with a $17.50 per hour pay. DC-based interns have an opportunity to work hybrid in our DC headquarters. The Spring Partnerships & Advocacy Intern will begin on February 10 and the end date will be early-May.
