Voto Latino Comments on Arizona Abortion Ruling

In response to the news that the Arizona Supreme Court upheld a near-total abortion ban that had originally been enacted in 1864, Voto Latino Founding President and CEO María Teresa Kumar released the following statement:

“The near-total abortion ban in Arizona demonstrates the danger that the MAGA extremists pose to women across the country. The Republicans are showing us every day why it’s so important to not only defeat Trump, who paved the way for the reversal of Roe v. Wade, but every candidate aligned with him up and down the ballot.

“For Latino voters in Arizona, this is what we do know: Abortion is a top and relevant issue. Today’s court decision sounds the alarm of what’s on the ballot in November – our freedom.”
