Voto Latino Comments on the Passing of Longtime Supporter Norman Lear

In response to the passing of longtime Voto Latino supporter Norman Lear, Voto Latino Founding President and CEO María Teresa Kumar released the following statement:

“The world will remember Norman Lear as an era-defining and barrier-breaking television producer and writer. At Voto Latino, we will also be mourning the passing of a friend and longtime supporter of our cause.

“Norman helped launch us by funding and co-producing our groundbreaking and award-winning ‘La Pasión de la Decision’ public service announcements. He was a mentor who cared deeply about realizing the promise of our country for all, and he believed in Voto Latino’s ability to help make that happen when few did. He will be missed.”
