Voto Latino Joins with Celebrities to Get Out the Vote Before Midterm Elections
Voto Latino today joined with celebrities like Camila Cabello, Eva Longoria, Rosario Dawson, Javier Muñoz, Emmy Rossum and Wilmer Valderama to rally Latino voters to participate in the upcoming election with a social media campaign that will run from now until Election Day. Celebrities, allies and grassroots activists called on Latino voters, especially young Latino voters, to #DefendTheFuture by casting a ballot.
“We know that when Latinos vote–especially young Latinos–we have the power to shape the outcome of our elections and the future of this country,” said Maria Teresa Kumar, President and CEO of Voto Latino. “We’ve got a chance to stand up for our communities and our democracy, and against bigotry. But only if we vote.”
Over the course of the election cycle, Voto Latino has engaged in a multichannel campaign to reach targeted voters online and on radio, as well as by text message and mail.
