Voto Latino Mourns the Passing of Representative Raúl Grijalva

WASHINGTON, D.C.Voto Latino joins the nation in mourning the passing of Representative Raúl M. Grijalva, a steadfast ally and advocate for the Latino community. Serving Arizona in the U.S. House of Representatives for over two decades, Rep. Grijalva was a longtime friend and collaborator of Voto Latino, dedicating his career to championing the rights and voices of Latinos. 

“Rep. Grijalva dedicated his life to advancing equity and justice, championing policies that uplifted countless communities across the nation. His impact will be felt for generations, inspiring future leaders to continue the fight for a fairer and more inclusive society.

Throughout his tenure, Rep. Grijalva was committed to the Latino community and when we launched Voto Latino he was committed through his advice and mentorship of our success to empower Latino voters and address issues impacting our communities. His leadership as Chair of the House Natural Resources Committee and his dedication to environmental conservation have left an indelible mark on our nation.
